FINAL PROJECT: ANIMATION VIDEO

For this final project, we are required to create an approximately 60 seconds animated video of our building of interest. I decided to go along with my Design Studio 3 final project, "New Age Gateway" as the focus of this video.

The technical projections of the designs were edited with some changes specifically for this module's project

Applying NURBS curve as the camera path, and placing the target camera onto the curve through path  constraint function

A snapshot of the interior showing how spaces and furniture are arranged
An exterior snapshot of the building as a whole gives a clear idea of the materials used for  rendering

The movie editing process takes a substantial amount of time due to  frames clipping and music editing, and not to mention putting it all together as one whole product

Here is the final production! Please enjoy : )

Applying finishes to a Pachinko ball

Today in class we learnt how to render a pachinko ball along with its context. We were also taught on how to apply lighting, using the "Glow" function.

The pachinko ball placed within a room

Lighting glows were applied into the room
Shadows come into play when omni lights were taken off the grid

Project 1: Abstract Sculpture

The design processes for my project 1: an Elephrog.

The body of the sculpture
The wireframe view of the body, along with the spring structure on the leg

Four views of the sculpture

Additional views of the sculpture

The sculpture with eye rings
Rendered product of the sculpture design

The Elephrog is a combination of an elephant and a frog, where the 'wings' beside the body represents an elephant's ear, and the spring like legs represents the leaping ability of a frog.

Today's lecture focused on getting our set up for Rendering and Material Editor correct and in accordance to the defaults used in lab computers.

We learnt how to set our material selections through the options found within Material Editor

Detailed view of the different options found within the Material Editor window

We then learnt how to apply default texture and original texture to the image that we had created

These textures can be modified in terms of its UVW mapping  depending on its shape as a whole

Lastly we learnt how to 3dimensionalized an existing image in 3DS Max, using the Lathe function
